That Makes Sense To Me: Information and Connective Tissue (#CCK11)

Thomas Vander Wal’s presentation, Information and connective Tissue, was the first one I listened to in real-time, beginning 36 minutes into the presentation.

Prior to that, I discovered that my Elluminate would not work. Afterwards, I discovered that it was a password problem, namely, I’d changed the password from a secondary email. Problem resolved, after the presentation ended. So, for the baseball enthusiasts among us, “I’m batting a thousand”.

The DS106 broadcast I picked up on Real Player, as i said, 36 minutes into the presentation. 4 minutes and 20 seconds before it ended, I realized that Real Player allowed me to record the audio. I did, all 4 minutes and 20 seconds of it. 🙂

So, coming in at the end, I heard Stephen say: (Quote) “That Makes Sense To Me.

1. The Object is the thing that you’re talking about.

2. The METADATA is the tag that you’re applying to that because you get flamewars involving those tags.

3. Identity: We also identify the person who tagged it. (End of quote).

Looking at the diagram above, I am clear on this also.

Best regards,
