What #Writers Make: **NEW** #RaveReviewsBookClub #asmsg #bynr #ian1 #JT4a

Did you ever wonder about what writers make? When I first started writing books, it took me one entire year before I ever saw a royalty check. 12 months is a long time to write, and write, and write some more. But the big day finally came, and I held a royalty check in my hands. As you read what Donald Miller says about what writers make, keep in mind he’s serious about something. First, read the quote below, and then I’ll tell you what he appears to be sharing with us…

(Quote) “Writers don’t make any money at all. We make about a dollar. It is terrible. But then again we don’t work either.

We sit around in our underwear until noon then go downstairs and make coffee, fry some eggs, read the paper, read part of a book, smell the book, wonder if perhaps we ourselves should work on our book, smell the book again, throw the book across the room because we are quite jealous that any other person wrote a book, feel terribly guilty about throwing the schmuck’s book across the room because we secretly wonder if God in heaven noticed our evil jealousy, or worse, our laziness.

We then lie across the couch facedown and mumble to God to forgive us because we are secretly afraid He is going to dry up all our words because we envied another man’s stupid words. And for this, as I said, we are paid a dollar. We are worth so much more.”

― Donald Miller, “Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality”

You can take Donald on face value when he says, “we are worth so much more.” One way to prove that is to persevere, always doing whatever you can to improve as a writer. For example, you could join a group of writers who support each other, #RaveReviewsBookClub. Do this, and it is true ==> We are worth so much more, especially when we work together…

Writers (authors) If you haven’t yet, just pop on over to the #RaveReviewsBookClub site and take a look at some of the membership, especially the Governing Board, as they are the ones that set the tone for the entire group.

You will not find a more talented, a more professional and a more SUPPORTIVE group of authors, all in one spot! And the group gets along so fabulously! There’s no bickering, just full-out support and respect for one another. Again, if we could bottle it and sell it, we still wouldn’t! BECAUSE WE WANT TO GIVE IT AWAY! Yes, our membership is 100% FREE!!!

The website went live on Christmas Eve (late in the evening, I might add) and already the site has been viewed over 1600 times in less than 11 days! We think that’s phenomenal! And it seems our membership does, too, as in less than 11 days our membership continues to grow daily!

The group offers some fabulous perks and they are constantly working on adding more. (Actually, the site will be updated within 24 hours with MORE, MORE, MORE of the wonderful offerings of this club!)

Our membership is not open to just authors. Oh no, our membership includes some very special bookworms, too!
